This minimal
interpratation of the Hayrake
Table in oak
(Quercus Robur)
is based on an early twentieth century
pattern by Arts and Crafts cabinetmakers Sidney
Barnsley and Ernest Gimson.

This chess table
in
the Pembroke style is English Fiddleback Sycamore and
English walnut.
It has hand dovetailed front and rear drawers to hold chessmen. The side
flaps are supported by swing
brackets.

The English elm in this table was reclaimed from a massive
tree, brought down by Dutch elm disease.
The hexagonal elm column divides into spreading feet, like the roots of an
ancient tree.

This Pembroke table was made
from a single board of English Walnut
(Juglans Regia). The dark wood forming the legs is the
hardest and came from near the heart of the tree. The handles are turned
from African Ebony. |

This Demilune
hall table in French Oak with curved rails supports a semi-elliptical top. The lower
edge of the curved rails and the feet are finished in African ebony. |
